After more than two years documenting gender-based violence in several countries and interviewing activists on peace and social change for the documentary “Ser mujer en Latinoamérica”, it is clear women across the world are connected and awakening to fight fo more peaceful and equal societies.

In this event, I will showcase the different degrees of gender-based violence in the region as well as examples of past and current social impact campaigns for peace in Argentina, Colombia, El Salvador, Brazil and Mexico. As we explore innovation for social impact and social good, we will see in this case which examples have succeeded in the road towards gendered-peace and which have back-fired and why, posing a reflection on the challenges that remain shaping societies worldwide.
